Client Challenge
The fire safety contractor in Tokyo was looking to expand its home fire safety product range to meet growing residential market demand in Japan. Previous suppliers had issues with:
- Inconsistent product quality between batches
- Missing VdS / CB certification documentation
- Long lead times (60+ days) causing stock-outs
- Limited APP localization — English-only interface unsuitable for Japan consumers
Wanlin's Solution
Wanlin assigned a dedicated export account manager to the Tokyo client and provided:
1. Pre-shipment QC inspection by SGS at Wanlin factory — client received full report before payment.
2. Complete VdS / CB documentation package — accepted by Japan customs on first submission.
3. Customized packaging with Japan language instructions and local compliance marks.
4. 4-week delivery via sea freight (FCL) + DHL air for urgent replenishment orders.
5. English + local-language APP — reducing customer support burden for the Tokyo client.
Results After 6 Months
- Zero quality-related returns from end consumers in Japan
- 85% repeat purchase rate among end users who registered the APP
- Client expanded from 1 SKU to 6 Wanlin product lines
- Second order placed within 3 months — quantity increased by 80%
- Achieved ISO 9001 factory audit acceptance by Japan insurance partner
